WPF Notepad Application [Part 1]

In this series we will be creating a simple WPF Notepad application using the C# language. Think of this series as a beginner level tutorial on creating a WPF app with an MVVM pattern — from start to finish. Our primary goal in this series will be to create a small application, with absolutely zero code-behind! We will accomplish this goal by utilizing concepts I have previously taught, such as, Relay Commands and Property Notifications. If you are unfamiliar with WPF, you may want to check out my Introduction to WPF content first.

Application Features

  • File Options (Open, save, save as, new)
  • Format editor (Font size, font weight, font family)
  • Commands
  • Property notifications
  • Generics
  • Binding
